The Alumni
Picnic is always held on the ‘Second Sunday of Every July’. Classes of 1958 through
the current year. Family members and friends are always welcome. Mark your
calendars so you don’t miss this amazing annual event for 2012.

Note: Please, help us to
keep this venue for our alumni event. No pets,
alcohol or drugs are allowed on park premises.
Extra parking for
this event is available after 12:00 pm at the St. Timothy’s Church on the
southwest corner of Arbor and Woodruff.
What’s it all
about?
It’s a
celebration for ALL LHS alumni classes. We have Memory Lane and the ‘Fallen
Lancer’ Memorial exhibits displayed in the Canteen (Youth Center) every year.
There’s Classic Cars parked on the north side of the Canteen (Arbor Rd.) for
you car fans & for the last few years we’ve added some cool looking Harley
motorcycles. Note: If you have a
classic car or bike that you’d like to
show this year, please contact me so a spot can be reserved SHoward843@aol.com
or 760-521-5871. Only prearranged cars/bikes will be allowed to park in this
area. This is a set rule…if you & your car/bike are not on the list you
will not be able to park in the coned area! Plan to bring your car/bike
early.
The LHSAA’s
Picnic Committee will have its annual 50/50. There is also drawings for gift
baskets, which are items donated by our local businesses. Our popular ‘All Alumni
Picnic’ button with the favored ‘Little Lancer,’ will be sold again this
year for a $1 each. All LHSAA fundraising money goes toward next year’s ‘All Alumni
Picnic’.
LHS’s booster
groups participate every year in this special event. The Football parents sell
hamburgers, hot dogs and chips on the Canteen patio. Their wearable & miscellaneous
LHS logo items are sold both in the park & patio area. Desserts, soda &
bottled water can be purchased from the Lancerette’s & Cheer Squad . Please show your ‘Lancer Pride’ by
supporting Lakewood High School’s Booster groups! Note: Individuals, or outside
businesses, are not allowed to sell their merchandise at this
event. Soliciting funds for a private cause is also not permitted.

(maiden included), grad year, email address & a phone number, to Sharon Mead Howard at Showard843@aol.com. Email is the
only method I use to keep you informed every year, and this newsletter is only
emailed twice a year in January & June. Please
share this newsletter with other Lancers who may not be aware of the All Alumni
Picnic or other alumni events.
